ExWHUemployee shares transfer update on West Ham United quest to sign Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri

Sevilla reportedly accepted the offer they received from West Ham for the services of striker Youssef En-Nesyri.

According to ExWHUemployee, the offer was a loan one with the option to buy, but it was not accepted by the Moroccan striker.

This has now led to the Hammers accepting that they will not be able to sign him this month but could still make another attempt to secure his services.

Ex wrote, “We believe the club submitted their loan offer last week and that this was agreed by the Spanish side, however the player was not keen on the move and so the deal fell through. This loan move did already include an obligation to buy and has not been added in this week.

“As it stands we believe that West Ham have accepted that he will not join. There may be another attempt to convince him to move in the future but for now it isn’t on.”

Move on

En-Nesyri clearly does not seem to fancy a move to West Ham so it’s pointless to chase after him this month.

There seemed to be some chance last summer before the signing of Gianluca Scamacca but that ship now seems to have sailed for the Hammers.

We also do not see the reason for prioritising another number nine when a wide attacker and an attacking midfielder are the need of the hour.

Craig Dawson also faces an uncertain future and his potential sale could see the Hammers entering the market for a replacement.

It’s understood that Wolves are plotting a bid for the English defender and an exit cannot be ruled out at this stage.

Using that money, the Hammers may dip into the market for a replacement either for Dawson or Maxwel Cornet given the player’s injury.

It remains to be seen how this window transpires for West Ham.
