ExWHUemployee shares insight into Declan Rice contract offers

News broke on Thursday that West Ham United had seen two contract offers rejected by Declan Rice.

The Telegraph reported that the England international wants to be informed if any offers are made for his services this summer.

Currently away with England at the EUROs, Rice is shining on the biggest stage, especially in the latest win over Germany.

ExWHUemployee responded to those claims on his personal Twitter account and appeared to suggest that they were real.

It is suggested that the contract offer on the table is below what Andriy Yarmolenko is currently earning at the London Stadium.

“The information about Rice is true,” he said.

“This is because the contract offers have been below what Yarmolenko is currently on, what Hernandez was on and other well paid players. For the player to stay at the club and turn down big moves the pay needs to reflect his ability.”

Embarrassing.

Yarmolneko is one player who is being forced out of the club if possible over the summer, but yet he’s on more than our captain?

Rice is irreplaceable compared to that, and would have this team built around him for many years to come at the London Stadium.

If we were to lose the midfielder after shocking offers such as this were the reason Rice was to move on, and it wouldn’t be forgiven.

Moyes will know how hard it is to negotiate with David Gold and Sullivan after his new contract took months to work out, so nothing will be happening quickly.

The manager will be making Rice’s future one of his priorities over pre-season, and we hope for some progression sooner rather than later.

The bar is pretty low.
