ExWHUemployee shares injury update on trio ahead of West Ham United v Wolves

West Ham United summer signing Nayef Aguerd has been involved in light training this week as he hopes to return quickly, as per ExWHUemployee.

The reliable Hammers insider reported on his Patreon (30 September) that Aguerd has moved from the gym to work on the pitches. He could be available before the World Cup or at least in time to represent Morocco in Qatar.

Ben Johnson has trained this week and Moyes will consider whether to include him in the matchday squad. Likewise, Declan Rice is set to feature against Wolves.

The Hammers fans will breathe a sigh of relief to find that Rice is fully fit and that he will set to play against Wolves tomorrow.

Johnson is touch-and-go at the moment, but having trained all week, David Moyes will make the final call regarding his fitness. In case he misses out, Moyes does have Vladimir Coufal as a potential option.

However, the Hammers boss will be pleased with the progress shown by Aguerd, although the club is likely to give him more time to recover. He is yet to play for the club, but it won’t be long before he makes a return.

West Ham

The Hammers must win this game. They have made huge investments in the summer, but the results have been really disappointing.

With the squad they have, the Hammers should not be in this position. Moyes probably is not under pressure to lose his job, but the results do need to improve.
