ExWHUemployee addresses PAI Capital-West Ham rumours

ExWHUemployee has shared what he has heard from one source about PAI Capital and West Ham, though he has since rejected rumours of a second bid.

The Daily Mail reported last month that the British-based consortium had made a £400m bid to buy the east London club.

However, majority shareholder Sullivan rejected the opening offer, and made clear that he has no designs on selling the club.

West Ham

Writing on his Patreon page [11/08/21], Irons insider ExWHUemployee has delivered an update on a potential takeover.

He said: “I have only had this mentioned to me by one source (a good one though) and I usually verify by at least two but I have been told that the consortium have submitted another offer and are waiting for GSB to respond.

“As I said, how legit this is I can’t verify but this source has called everything spot on so far in regards to the takeover. I am sure more news will emerge soon.”

However, in the most recent update on Wednesday afternoon, ExWHUemployee has clarified that “there has not been an official offer for the club done through the correct process from any party”.

West Ham

Upping the ante

It seems PAI Capital are serious about their intentions and are set on buying West Ham.

After their initial offer was knocked back, they drafted in a host of high-profile stars to help boost their bid and garner good publicity.

Anton and Rio Ferdinand have backed the group as well as media personality Thomas Skinner.

Many West Ham supporters will be crossing their fingers that GSB finally give in and sell up, but all the noises up to this point suggest they are happy to dig their heels in and stay.

It’s a saga that is likely to continue for weeks and months.

In other West Ham news, the Irons want to sign this ‘Brilliant’ young attacker who shone on Sky Sports last weekend.
