ExWHUemployee: West Ham United may now make approach for unnamed central midfielder
West Ham United may now make a brand new approach for an unnamed central midfielder this summer, according to ExWHUemployee.
The reliable source has reported that a deal for Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski is basically off, as the Irons are not convinced he wants to join with no agreement reached.
A deal for Amadou Onana could now be revisited, but Lille would need to lower their demands for the Belgian powerhouse, leaving the third unnamed option.

Writing in an official update on the West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex shared the latest as the Irons experience many difficulties in the hunt for another midfielder.
“Sadly, following a day of talks it appears that the club and Napoli cannot reach an agreement for Zieliński,” he wrote.
“The club are also not convinced that he wants to join. The likelihood now is that attention will switch back to Onana unless Napoli are prepared to change their stance significantly.
“The move for Onana will also require significant movement from Lille and there is another target who may also be approached.”

Problems.
This is starting to become a real headache for West Ham United.
Rob Newman and his team have been unable to keep many of the targeted names under wraps so far this summer, so this third option will likely be out in the public eye sooner rather than later.
Especially if an approach is made to get a deal over the line.
That is very likely given that Zielinski looks like a certain no right now, and Lille’s demands for Onana were going way above £35million only a matter of weeks ago.
David Moyes is clearly not happy with his depth right now, with that causing real issues, especially last season with numerous injuries in both the Premier League and Europa League.
Flynn Downes has already arrived but given his rise through the Football League, he will be nothing more than a rotation option early on, so another big name to challenge Tomas Soucek alongside Declan Rice is needed.
