Niclas Fullkrug will miss out for West Ham against Ipswich Town due to an ongoing injury concern, according to ExWHUemployee.

The Hammers insider reported on 2 October that the Germany international is likely to miss out on the London Stadium clash against the Tractor Boys on Saturday 5 October.

The summer signing has featured in just 63 minutes since joining from Borussia Dortmund with his injury return taking "longer than expected".

It has been suggested that the club expect the striker to return after the upcoming international break.

Fullkrug signed for the Irons in a deal which was met with plenty of fanfare after a positive stint at the EUROs for Germany.

With that being said, he has failed to truly impress in his time with the club so far with injuries playing their part in his progress.

Julen Lopetegui has appeared to be keen to introduce him into the starting XI slowly which he may regret given this injury setback.

Now, the striker has to be given time to recover and reach full fitness before being chucked in at the deep end in the Premier League.

As a result, the Hammers will have to rely on Danny Ings and Michail Antonio for at least the upcoming clash against Ipswich.

The newly promoted side will be no easy opponent and the striking duo must take their chances when they come if Lopetegui wants to finally secure a win after three league games without.
