ExWHUemployee issues clarification on Gianluca Scamacca West Ham United exit

ExWHUemployee has issued a clarification on West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca amid reports of his exit set in stone this summer.

According to the reliable London Stadium insider, via his Patreon [29 July], he’s received confirmation that claims of a loan deal with an obligation to buy being agreed with Roma are not true.

This also coincides with the fact that the Italy international, 24, is on the bench for the friendly v Rennes on Saturday, 29 July.

Ex wrote, “We have just received confirmation that once more a report in the Italian press regarding Scamacca’s future is false.

“The report suggested that a loan deal with an obligation to buy if Roma qualified for the Champions League had been agreed. This deal has been denied by the club at this stage.

“The evidence was already there given the fact that he is on the bench today but we have just relieved confirmation from the club that no deal is agreed for the Italian international.”

Good news

If Scamacca is to leave this summer, it has to be on West Ham’s terms as they paid big money to sign him last summer.

They felt that he would be the answer to address their striking woes but he endured a tough season in the Premier League.

That’s not writing him off but merely stating facts and the feeling is that the club and most Hammers fans would want him to stay.

West Ham

Firstly, because they’re aware of how expensive quality strikers are in this day and age and also because the club’s taking so long to get deals done this summer.

They’ve sold Declan Rice almost a month ago but have failed to get in a first-team player through the door just yet.

Carlos Borges from Manchester City appears to be the only one close and even that’s a risky deal as he’s not played senior football yet.

In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open on leaving his side this summer.
