ExWHUemployee: David Moyes set for fresh talks as West Ham may table new bid for Filip Kostic
David Moyes is reportedly set for fresh transfer talks with the recruitment team at West Ham as they look to make more signings.
According to ExWHUemployee, Moyes will have a meeting over their transfer strategy for the last few weeks of the transfer window as they look to sign a left-back and a central midfielder.
Despite getting the feeling that Kostic is unwilling to move to the London Stadium, they could make another offer next week to convince him.
Ex wrote, “David Moyes is expected to host another meeting with his recruitment team to identify which targets to go for next in the next couple of days.
“There is a chance the club could make one more attempt next week to offer even more to the player but at this point, the club do not seem very confident in it making any difference unless there is a serious change of heart.”
We’re unsure why the club are wasting their time over a player that clearly does not fancy moving to the London Stadium.
He’s getting Champions League football in Germany and has probably gotten comfortable with those surroundings.
At 29, he may not want to try his luck in a league as physical and competitive as the Premier League and that’s totally all right.
There are plenty of left-backs out there who are better than Kostic and would be willing to join West Ham.
Kostic may be Moyes’ primary target but the Scotsman is aware that no manager gets all of his desired players and it’s time to move on to better things.
