ExWHUemployee: Manchester City could consider Carlos Borge West Ham United transfer in Declan Rice bid

Manchester City could consider using 19-year-old sensation Carlos Borges in a deal to buy West Ham captain Declan Rice, according to ExWHUemployee.

Ex reports on his personal Patreon (16 June) that Kalvin Phillips does not want to make the move to the London Stadium.

West Ham are thought to be interested in Portuguese youngster Borge, who primarily operates as a winger.

West Ham Declan Rice

It’s believed Arsenal are preparing a second offer which could get close to the magic £100million initial payment that the Hammers are after.

Interesting

It will be intriguing to see if Manchester City do advance their interest in the 24-year-old – surely it’s the best move for Rice?

Much has been made of his desire to move to Arsenal, however, he needs to assess the reasons as to why he’s leaving the London Stadium.

His desire to play Champions League football has been mooted as one of the main reasons why he wants to depart. A move to The Emirates would provide that, but if he’s also looking for silverware it doesn’t make sense.

West Ham United

Yes, there’s a chance Arsenal could win the odd FA Cup from time to time, but, despite their impressive Premier League season, there’s little hope when it comes to challenging Manchester City.

If Rice moves to The Etihad he’s almost guaranteed to become one of the best midfielders on the planet. Pep Guardiola would take his game to a new level.

Most West Ham fans would be happier if Rice did make the move to the North West. If he returns in an Arsenal jersey, it just won’t sit right.
