West Ham let slip of a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Arsenal at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Jesse Lingard, Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek fired the Irons into a commanding position inside 32 minutes.

However, own goals by Soucek and Craig Dawson brought the Gunners back into the game around the hour-mark before Alexandre Lacazette bagged an equaliser for Mikel Arteta’s side in the 82nd minute.

It was a crushing blow for the Hammers, who were superb in the first half as Lingard continued to impress in claret and blue.

The 28-year-old, who’s now scored five goals since his arrival from Manchester United on loan in January, was unanimously chosen as the man of the match on Sunday by our panel of West Ham Super Fans.

Here is what they had to say about the attacker.

Lingard has been a revelation since his arrived in East London in the January transfer window.

The attacking midfielder was unavailable last weekend when the Hammers lost to Man United and ahead of that game, Frank McAvennie predicted the side will miss his “enthusiasm and energyin an exclusive interview with West Ham Zone.

You could tell in the first half that he was chomping at the bit to show how much he was missed at Old Trafford with a superb goal, as well as an assist for Bowen’s goal.

According to WhoScored, Lingard also completed two of the three dribbles he attempted, made one key pass with 41 touches of the ball.

There have been games when Lingard has seen more of the ball but his efficiency on it against Arsenal backs up calls for him to be the man of the match.

In other West Ham news, Paul Merson was blown away by Lingard’s goal versus the Gunners.
