Ex Premier League referee Chris Foy stunned by Jarrod Bowen moment in West Ham v Arsenal
Former Premier League referee Chris Foy was stunned by what Jarrod Bowen did in the 2-0 West Ham defeat against Arsenal on Sunday.
The English attacker jumped over the challenge of Aaron Ramsdale to avoid potentially breaking a leg.
He wasn’t booked for simulation as Mike Dean figured why he did it and Bowen then shook his hands after the entire incident.

Speaking on the Premier League Weekend Roundup, Foy said, “It was ironic he shook Mike Dean’s hand. Never seen that before.”
Strange one
It’s strange to see players and referees greeting each other with handshakes during games.
Usually, they’re always abrasive with the officials as they feel that decisions have gone against them.
However, more should have been done to the Ramsdale challenge as it was a potential leg breaker.
But there was no contact so Dean was within his rights to not take any further action.

That said, it was a devastating result for the Hammers just days before their big Europa League clash.
They need to get their focus back on the game against Eintracht Frankfurt and do everything possible to overcome the one-goal deficit.
It is certainly not beyond them and we’re hoping for a spirited performance from David Moyes’ men for that one.
