‘Everyone’s crying’ – These West Ham fans left devastated by official Tuesday update

West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek is set for a spell on the sidelines, much to the dismay of many supporters.

The 24-year-old was withdrawn during the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Monday evening, and the club have since confirmed that he faces a three week spell on the sidelines.

And many Hammers are understandably gutted by the news.

The Czech midfielder looked really bright during his outing on Merseyside last night, so much so that many supporters took to social media to sing his praises during the match.

It’s not hard to see why either, with Soucek making a tackle, two interceptions, and seven clearances prior to being taken off, as per Whoscored.

It was a dominant display, and one that looked much needed for a team who have rolled over too easily too often this season.

Now, with the best part of a month in the treatment room ahead of him, the Hammers will have to steel themselves for a difficult run without the loanee.

Their next three matches are against Southampton, Arsenal, and Wolves, and honestly, it’s not inconceivable that all of those matches are losable.

Having Soucek around would have made things a whole lot manageable, and we just have to hope that his absence doesn’t make too much of an impact.

Here are some of the best reactions from devastated fans on social media…
