Euro club hope West Ham United pursuit of £30m forward opens up deal for Gianluca Scamacca
Roma are hoping West Ham can land a deal to sign Chelsea forward Armando Broja to allow Gianluca Scamacca to leave the club this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper reported on 19 July that the Hammers have closed off the possibility of letting that the 24-year-old striker leave on loan, but that the Serie A outfit believe Broja is “the key” to convincing the Irons to letting him join them.
Gazzetta claimed the Hammers are looking to pay £30.4million for the Chelsea striker, who former Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl referred to as “dangerous”, to open up the opportunity for Scamacca to depart East London.

Pay up
There seems to be daily twists in the ongoing saga surrounding a potential transfer for Scamacca, with Roma seemingly desperate to land a new forward.
But the simple fact of the matter is, they are going to have to pay up if they want to sign the Italy international this summer, with the Hammers not interested in loaning him out and looking for a fee in the region of the £35million they paid for him last summer to even consider letting him leave.
There are also reports about Antonio leaving the club for Saudi Arabia this summer, so David Moyes will definitely want to get another forward through the door if he does move on.

That would mean it’s more likely that Broja and Scamacca would both be at the club together next season, as a minimum of three strikers is required when a team is playing in a European competition.
Roma appear to be clutching at straws to try and get a deal done for the former Sassuolo man, so it looks like it would currently take quite a lot for them to sign him.
