Edin Terzic reputation emerges at West Ham, he could replace Julen Lopetegui

Edin Terzic has a good reputation at West Ham and is now an option to replace Julen Lopetegui, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Sky Sports journalist shared on 22 October that the Hammers hold him in high regard after the 41-year-old worked as an assistant coach under Slaven Bilic.

If the Irons were to sack Lopetegui, Terzic is on the radar to take over, but AC Milan are also said to be interested in the German.

Edin Terzic could replace Julen Lopetegui at West Ham

Terzic is considered one of the brightest minds in football at the moment, having spent most of his time in Borussia Dortmund’s setup.

The 41-year-old won the DFB Pokal at the Bundesliga outfit in 2021 and also took them to the Champions League final last season.

Apart from serving as manager at BVB, the former striker also held the post of technical director at the Black and Yellow.

Therefore, if West Ham were to be able to convince Terzic to take the reins of the team, it would unarguably be a great move.

Lopetegui has struggled to stamp his authority at the Hammers since being appointed this summer after the departure of David Moyes.

As a result, there have been calls for the Spaniard to be sacked, with the Hammers sitting fifteenth in the table in the Premier League after losing 4-1 to Tottenham in the previous fixture.

However, whether the Irons will be able to lure the former BVB manager to East London remains to be seen.
