Edin Terzic decision made as West Ham United manager update emerges

West Ham considered Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic as one of the options to take over from David Moyes, but have already rejected the idea, according to Sean Whetstone.

The well-connected Hammers source explained via his X account [24 April] that Terzic, a former assistant coach to Slaven Bilic at West Ham, is no longer in the running.

As discussions continue over the future of Moyes, with his contract due to run out in the summer, the club are considering several options to replace the long-serving boss.

West Ham consider Edin Terzic as David Moyes replacement

Terzic has led Dortmund to fifth place as things stand in what has been a disappointing season for the German outfit who are used to challenging Bayern Munich for first place but have failed to capitalise on their rivals’ dip in dominance.

One benefit, of course, would have been the time he spent at the club previously, so the understanding of the way things work behind the scenes and what the demands of the fans are would already be established.

However, with the possibility of hiring him now dismissed, the Hammers will continue to assess their options should Moyes leave the club upon the expiry of his current deal as has become widely expected since the 5-2 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Ruben Amorim was initially put forward as the first-choice option, but after holding talks in London, it is now considered highly unlikely that he will be the man to take over from Moyes.

With the likes of Graham Potter and Gary O’Neil also reportedly under consideration, there should be plenty of twists and turns left to this saga.

In other West Ham news, Jeff Stelling told one boss to replace Moyes “immediately”.
