Duje Caleta-Car pushed out of Marseille, ready to sign for West Ham United

Marseille management are pushing Duje Caleta-Car out of the club on deadline, with West Ham United circling, according to Foot Mercato.

The French outlet has reported on its website that the Croatian is ready to sign at a new club before 11 pm, with Aston Villa and Southampton all interested.

Caleta-Car is set to move on today, and he will bring millions into Marseille no matter where he moves, which is likely to be in the Premier League.

It is easy to see why this move is being pushed along.

Caleta-Car is in the final year of his contract at Marseille, and they may see this as their last chance to bring in millions now, with January opening up a pre-contract possibility.

Forget about flying time too, with RMC Sports adding on that the defender is already in London and set to open up talks with numerous clubs to find his best option.

Pay up.

So, with Marseille pushing Caleta-Car out of the door, it is time to make our move.

The Croatian was targeted last summer at the London Stadium, but the asking price continued to get worst and more demands were being put in place to make it impossible.

Now, we are in a position where the French club feel forced to get a deal done, and now it is time for West Ham United to take advantage of that.

This move will no doubt depend on Craig Dawson moving on, with the likes of Wolves circling to make it happen within hours for our veteran hero.

Once that happens, expect GSBK to sanction a move for another defender and if that isn’t Jan Bednarek, expect it to be Caleta-Car, who won’t have suddenly lost fans at the club.

Numerous moves are possible now, but a new defender before the deadline is desperately needed – the race is on.
