Divock Origi is not David Moyes’ preferred option

Liverpool forward Divock Origi is reportedly not at the top of David Moyes’ list as he’s looking at other options to bring to West Ham this summer.

According to Claret & Hugh, Origi is on Moyes’ transfer list but is not at the top of it as he’s keen on signing a striker before the window closes.

They wrote, “The 26-year-old is not a priority figure for the Hammers boss who is still looking in other directions according to our insiders.”

Are we signing anyone?

The Belgium international seemed like a striker who would fit right into our transfer budget and would also complement our style of play.

Origi is fast, mobile, has great positional awareness and has the knack of finding the back of the net when the team requires it the most.

He is the kind of player who could have a quiet 85 minutes and burst into life in the dying stages of the game to nick a late goal and get the desired result for his team.

According to Football Insider, he is available for only £15million this summer which is fantastic as it gives us more room to maneuver in the market and rope in a quality centre-back and possibly sign Jesse Lingard permanently.

However, it seems like Moyes has other alternatives and it remains to be seen who is his preferred target for this summer.

We’re hoping that it’s not another failed pursuit like that of Tammy Abraham as we don’t have long left before the window shuts.
