Dharmesh Sheth: West Ham United to look into loan market as deadline day nears
Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has suggested that West Ham could delve into the loan market as deadline day edges closer.
The Hammers completed the signing of Lyon attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta for a fee believed to be in the region of £51.3million according to The Guardian.
However, Sheth has suggested that another permanent arrival at the London Stadium could be unlikely with the loan market potentially a more likely route for David Moyes to go down.

Sheth told GIVEMESPORT on Tuesday 30 August: “Remember that the loan market, as well, is still something that West Ham United may look into doing some business in.
“They’ve had success with it in the past.
“Jesse Lingard, a couple of seasons ago, came in and made a huge impact.
“So, I think they’ll be keeping their eyes on the loan market as well.”
Makes sense
Delving into the loan market does seem to make sense for Moyes at this point in the transfer window with clubs now aware of who they want to let go and who they want to keep as deadline approaches.
Another striker could be an avenue for Moyes to look into with Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio his main striking options at present.
Potentially a younger forward from a top-six Premier League club could be an option for the club to explore, but there has been very little in the way of rumours on that front.

If the Hammers didn’t make another addition before Thursday’s deadline (1 September), it wouldn’t be the end of the world considering the business that has already been done at the London Stadium.
It’s important that the club don’t make a signing just for the sake of adding a player to Moyes’ squad.
Leaving a space free for the West Ham boss to use in January could be a smarter move by the club hierarchy at present.
However, it is West Ham we are talking about and it would not be a shock in the slightest to see a player or two be added in the next couple of days.
