Dharmesh Sheth shares what he knows about West Ham and their pursuit of Zouma

Sky Sports presenter Dharmesh Sheth has revealed on his personal Twitter account what he knows about West Ham and their proposed move for Kurt Zouma.

It had been claimed that the Hammers have verbally agreed a fee with Chelsea for the Frenchman and that the only issue stopping the deal was personal terms [The Athletic].

However, Sheth claims that the obstacles are surrounding the personal wages and the potential will of the player moving forward.

Zouma to West Ham?

The initial noises around Zouma moving to West Ham were pretty positive, with personal terms seen as the only issue.

However, if what Sheth says is true then, the Hammers might even have to convince Zouma that a move to the London Stadium is the best step forward in his career.

He is also said to be asking for £125,000 per week, which would make him one of the Irons’ best-paid players and if he isn’t even that keen on the move, what would be the point in the Hammers splashing out all that money [Spotrac]?

Zouma has a lot of Premier League experience and could be a good signing for the Hammers, but the fee and his wages are huge.

Hopefully, Zouma can be convinced by David Moyes, but if he isn’t that interested, we think the Irons should move on and look to sign someone who actually wants to play for them.

In other West Ham news, the club have made a huge contract offer to one of their star players.
