Dharmesh Sheth: Flynn Downes West Ham United medical scheduled within 24 hours
Swansea City midfielder Flynn Downes is set to undergo his West Ham United medical within 24 hours according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth.
Sheth had revealed earlier on Wednesday 6 July that the Hammers were close to finalising a deal for the 23-year-old midfielder.
It now appears that a deal is set to be completed with Downes undergoing a medical within 24 hours before finalising a deal to move to the London Stadium.
Kept this quiet
For once West Ham have managed to keep their transfer dealings quiet before any big clubs swoop in and make life hard for the Hammers.
It appears that they have managed to move quickly and efficiently for Downes which provides plenty of optimism for Irons fans heading into the rest of the window.
There will be plenty of excitement ahead of Downes’ arrival, with Jarrod Bowen the prime example of a Championship player who has thrived at the London Stadium.
The same could also be said of Said Benrahma after his arrival from Brentford.

Downes will provide midfield cover that the West Ham boss has been craving as well as a versatile option for Moyes to call upon.
The midfielder can operate in a deep-lying position as well as more attacking roles across the midfield.
This looks like a good value for money signing for the Hammers as Moyes looks to utilise every penny that is available to him in the transfer market.
Let’s hope this is the start of an influx of new additions at the London Stadium.
