Declan Rice set to stay at West Ham for now
West Ham star Declan Rice is set to stay at the London Stadium for this season, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
They claim that the 22-year-old “accepts he will be staying at West Ham this season” because of the club’s valuation; however, he could move on from the Irons next summer.
The report also states that the England international doesn’t see another 12 months with the Hammers as “detrimental to his career” with West Ham in the Europa League this year. However, the report does state that Rice will “spark a midfield transfer scramble” next summer.

Good and bad news for West Ham!
If this report is to be believed, it appears as if Rice is happy to spend one more season with the Hammers before looking to move on next summer.
So it appears as if the England man doesn’t see a long-term future at the London Stadium, which is a shame considering the Irons are in the Europa League this season.
Should this be the way things go down, Hammers fans are going to have to enjoy Rice while they can.

However, if he has another good season, surely his price tag will rise even more, potentially making it even harder for the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United to sign him?
Ultimately, even if he wants to go next summer, the club have a price tag, and unless that is matched, he won’t be going anywhere [The Athletic].
We hope that the Hammers have a strong season and perhaps convince Rice to change his mind, but for now, we should just enjoy what he has to offer.
In other West Ham news, the club’s pursuit of one player has slowed down.
