Declan Rice reacts to West Ham win v Manchester City
West Ham knocked holders Manchester City out of the EFL Cup competition after winning 5-3 on penalties on Wednesday at the London Stadium.
The fourth-round tie had ended goalless after 90 minutes. West Ham kept their composure in the penalty shoot-out, with Said Benrahma scoring the decisive spot-kick.
City, who have won this competition for the past four seasons, have been eliminated for the first time since 2016.

Rice took to Twitter after the game and posted a series of tweets sharing his natural emotion.
He wrote: “Yess, Lets Go”, followed by a tweet – “Special group we’ve got. Onto the next.”
The England midfielder has also showered praise on Ben Johnson. He wrote – “Ben Johnson, that’s all.”
Solid performance
The Hammers managed only 36% of possession and registered only seven attempts during the game.
City, on the other hand, attempted 25 shots but they couldn’t find a breakthrough as the Hammers claimed a famous win to move to the quarter-finals.
West Ham keeper Alphonse Areola was outstanding during the game and he made a fine save to deny John Stones from a close-range header.
Tomas Soucek came close to scoring for the Hammers. This has been an incredible run from West Ham who knocked out Manchester United in the third round.
The Hammers are riding with momentum under David Moyes and there is a real belief in the team. They sit fourth in the Premier League and have won all of their three Europa League games so far.
Pep Guardiola was full of praise for West Ham and Moyes, saying – “A fantastic team, a fantastic manager.”
