Declan Rice reacts to Gerrard’s Instagram message to Bukayo Saka
West Ham United ace Declan Rice has made his feelings known after Steven Gerrard sent a message to Bukayo Saka after England’s Euro 2020 heartache.
The Three Lions held Italy to a 1-1 draw at the end of 120 minutes last night (Sunday) at Wembley but lost 3-2 in the penalty shootout.
It was a painful way for Gareth Southgate’s men to end their brilliant European Championship campaign, and the Rangers boss has praised the Arsenal teenager for stepping up to take the last kick.

Gerrard took to his personal Instagram account to send a three-word message, and Rice reacted thus:

Tough one to take
The West Ham ace had a brilliant campaign at the tournament and was visibly left gutted by the defeat at the end of the finals.
Nevertheless, Rice showed his class with that simple gesture on social media, and he will be looking forward to impressing again with this group of players at next summer’s World Cup.
Believe it or not, penalty kicks are largely down to luck and even the best takers get to miss them too.
England absolutely gave their all, and we are proud of Rice’s performances at the tournament.

West Ham will be looking forward to having a great 2021-22 with the midfielder, and we cannot wait to have him join his teammates for pre-season preparations.
The 22-year-old can use the Euros heartbreak as much-needed motivation for the Hammers’ Europa League and domestic campaigns, and the valuable experience he garnered during the tournament would definitely benefit us in the long run.
Rice represented West Ham well at the Euros, and will only continue to get better as England’s pursuit of glory continues.
