David Sullivan stance on David Moyes situation at West Ham United emerges after another defeat
David Sullivan is still keen to see David Moyes remain as the West Ham United manager despite poor form, according to the Mail on Sunday [1 January, Page 97].
Pressure is mounting on the Hammers boss after yet another defeat, this time at home to Brentford, saw them slip to 17th in the Premier League as Everton earned a draw away at Manchester City.
Moyes is acutely aware of the eyes being drawn to his position in the London Stadium dugout but Sullivan and the Irons’ owners all want to give the Scotsman the chance to turn things around.

They have seemingly given Moyes the next three matches to prove he can steer the club away from the threat of relegation with fellow strugglers Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Toffees next up.
The 2-0 loss at home to Brentford sparked some sections of the London Stadium to boo at full-time after the club spent £170million to try and maintain their place in the European spots over the summer.
Last chance saloon
Moyes isn’t an unintelligent man. He will know that failure to win any of the next three games almost certainly sees him sacked from his tenure at West Ham United.
What he needs, more than ever, is the players on the pitch to produce what everyone knows they can to truly dominate these fellow relegation candidates and remove the Irons from that conversation.

Despite their league positions, though, they are not easy games with Wolves rejuvenated under Julen Lopetegui and Leeds and Everton both getting very respectable points on the road on New Year’s Eve.
January could well be a quiet month on the transfers front after so much was spent in the summer so Moyes has to work with what he has got at Rush Green and so far he has struggled to do so.
The encouraging thing is that while results have not been there, performances have been and it is surely only a matter of time before everything clicks and a big win is had.
Moyes just has to hope that comes before his P45.
