David Sullivan shuts down PAI Capital West Ham talk
David Sullivan has once again insisted that he will not sell West Ham to PAI Capital after Nasib Piriyev’s latest comments.
Speaking to The Athletic, Piriyev insisted that if PAI Capital bought the club, then David Gold and Sullivan could stay at the club for life as presidents.
However, Sullivan is having none of that and has once again slammed Piriyev and insisted that he will never sell the club to PAI Capital.
Speaking to Hammers News, he said: “We believe this individual would be an unsuitable custodian of the club and have no desire to deal with him.”
This takeover is dead.
It is so clear that PAI Capital will probably never own the Irons ever.
Sullivan has repeatedly insisted that he will never sell the club to PAI, and even after this odd claim from Piriyev, it seems pretty certain that Sullivan is having none of it.
This latest comment from Sullivan is pretty damning and suggests that PAI will never be given the chance to own the Irons.
Earlier this year, they attempted to pile public pressure on in an attempt to perhaps force Sullivan and Gold to back down and sell the club.
That didn’t work, and it was confirmed in September that PAI had withdrawn for the time being [Evening Standard].
However, these latest comments suggest that there is no way in hell that PAI Capital will take West Ham from Gold & Sullivan.
Hopefully, new owners will come along soon as the Hammers need a regime change, but we doubt that PAI will be the owners any time soon.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to sign Italian Euro 2020 star.
