David Sullivan champions who he wants to be West Ham United manager
David Sullivan is determined to give Julen Lopetegui enough time to prove doubters wrong at West Ham United, according to The Guardian.
The newspaper reported via their website on 29 November that the majority owner championed for the Spaniard to be the Irons boss in the summer despite being met with opposition from some at the London Stadium.
However, the 57-year-old’s situation at the London Stadium remains “precarious”, although the 2-0 win over Newcastle on Monday [25 November] took some pressure off his shoulders.

Alarm bells were ringing after the Hammers played out a 0-0 draw with Everton at home on 9 November before the international break, with intermediaries also put on alert.
Former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic was reportedly being lined up as a replacement, but those claims have now been quashed, with Sullivan continuing to back Lopetegui.
Sullivan, though, would have been left with no choice but to sack the Iberian tactician had the Irons succumbed to a heavy defeat in Tyneside.

West Ham have a big test against coming up in the Premier League, with Arsenal visiting the London Stadium on Saturday [1 December] and it remains to be seen if the result of that game will affect Lopetegui’s job.
The head coach, meanwhile, will be high on confidence after Monday’s result and be hopeful of causing an upset over Mikel Arteta’s side.
In other West Ham news, this Irons fan favourite is being lined up for a January exit, with clubs knocking on the door already.
