David Moyes will look to strengthen in all areas of West Ham squad in January – Dharmesh Sheth
West Ham United manager David Moyes will be looking to strengthen his squad in “all areas of the pitch” ahead of the January transfer window despite the club’s busy summer, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Hammers are currently languishing just one point above the Premier League relegation zone following a summer spending spree of over £150million.
Lucas Paqueta, Gianluca Scamacca and Maxwel Cornet are just a few of the names who have failed to hit the ground running since arriving at the London Stadium as Moyes attempts to gel his squad into European contenders.

And according to Sky Sports reporter Sheth, despite needing to give these stars the remainder of the season to settle in, he will be eyeing up a raft of signings in the winter window.
He told Give Me Sport: “I’m sure David Moyes is looking to strengthen in all areas of the pitch.
“Having said that, there’s so many new players that have come in at West Ham United I think what his priority was, was to gel these players, and was almost pleading for time from the West Ham fans who were getting a little bit frustrated with the results.
“Saying, ‘look, just calm, just trust me. We’ve just got a whole new squad, or it feels like a whole new squad, they need time to bed in.
“A lot of them are coming from different leagues, they’re going to need time to settle in.’ So, I think that’s what David Moyes and West Ham United will probably be looking at doing in the next few months.”

Adjustment time needed
Despite Moyes coming under increasing pressure in the weeks preceding the World Cup, his job should be safe due to the European football he has delivered to the club over the past two years.
The likes of Cornet and Morrocan star Nayef Aguerd have been sidelined for large portions of the season and must be given time to adjust to their Premier League surroundings as they return to the starting XI.
Once Moyes has a fully fit squad, there is a surplus of talent which can fire him out of his current predicament, but he just needs to get his side scoring goals.
Only Everton, Nottingham Forest and Wolves have scored fewer goals than the Hammers this season, and considering the riches they possess in attack, this has to change, and quickly.
After a tough trip to the Emirates on Boxing Day, consecutive matches against Brentford, Leeds United, Wolves and Everton represent a great opportunity to climb the Premier League table in the new year.
