Neil 'Razor' Ruddock has predicted West Ham boss David Moyes to be the first Premier League manager to be sacked next season.

The former Hammers defender was speaking on talkSPORT's breakfast show on 1 August, where he admitted he was fearful for the Irons chief after the club have so far failed to bring in any new signings.

Ruddock was asked by the show's host Alan Brazil who he thought would be the first top-flight boss to get the bullet and he said he was "feeling it for David Moyes" and that the Scotsman is "under pressure".

West Ham

“I am feeling it for David Moyes," said Ruddock on talkSPORT's breakfast show on 1 August. "A month out from last season he was under pressure. They were struggling in the league, they won the Europa Conference League but they’ve sold Declan Rice for just over £100million and they haven’t made any more signings.

"He’s not getting on with the technical director (Tim Steidten). Moyes wants players with Premier League experience, where do you go with that? Where are West Ham going to go?

“As a manager, why would you want one? You wouldn’t want a technical director overseeing who you want to sign. I think he’s under pressure, I feel sorry for him.”

Tension building

Although it does sound a bit of a ridiculous statement after Moyes claimed a European trophy in the club's last competitive game, things are certainly not right behind the scenes at the London Stadium at the moment.

It's been widely reported that the manager isn't getting on with Steidten and that is a massive problem, as he has been drafted in to improve West Ham's fortunes in the transfer market.

After they've struggled to bring any new players in to strengthen the squad following Rice's big-money move to Arsenal, tensions must be building or they could - perhaps - be about to boil over.

West Ham

The first game away to Bournemouth is less than two weeks away and, if the Hammers don't get any signings in by then and get off to a poor start, it isn't out of the question that Moyes could be facing the sack.

The feeling around the club isn't great right now and we really need something to happen before the season starts to give everyone a boost.
