David Moyes stance emerges amid Michail Antonio frustrations at West Ham United
Michail Antonio’s form is beginning to frustrate fans at the London Stadium as he continues to start, but David Moyes remains happy with his West Ham performances, according to TEAMtalk.
The digital news publication shared on 23 October that the forward, who has only scored twice from nine starts so far this season, still retains the backing of his manager as the first-choice striker.
There is a growing belief that Mohammed Kudus may be used from the start in place of Antonio, with the new arrival yet to make his first league start, but for now, Moyes is backing his man.

Frustration continues to grow
Fans can appreciate what Antonio offers to their side. His hold-up play, work rate and physicality up top have become key to Moyes’ style of play at the London Stadium, and the fans recognise the part he plays in making that style successful.
However, the one thing you really need from a striker is the one thing Antonio doesn’t offer. Goals. Two in nine is a poor return already this season, but the warning signs were there when he managed just five from 33 appearances last season.
The Hammers spent all summer searching for a new striker but were unable to bring one in before the deadline, leaving Antonio as the only real contender as things stand.

However, reports have claimed Moyes is working with Jarrod Bowen on converting him into a striker, which would allow Kudus to slot in out wide and Antonio to drop to the bench. Surely that option will have to be explored sooner rather than later.
In other West Ham news, fears have emerged for Hammers fans travelling to the Olympiacos game.
