David Moyes shares chances of Said Benrahma making debut v Manchester City

David Moyes has played down the chances of West Ham United winger Said Benrahma making his debut against Manchester City.

The Algerian international signed days before the Tottenham draw, but it was too late for him to be involved in that clash.

Benrahma arrived on an initial loan at the London Stadium, after an issue was discovered in one of his first medical assessments.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Moyes claimed that the Algerian has impressed since arriving from Brentford last week.

“Said Benrahma is doing well in training,” he said.

“He needs to get up to speed to where we’re at, but the way the players are playing is giving me the chance to do that.”

Based on this initial assessment, it appears highly likely that Benrahma will atleast be on the bench for this massive test.

The 25-year-old has had a full week of training behind him, and won’t have to build his fitness too much after featuring for Brentford before joining.

In his only start against Premier League Fulham in the Carabao Cup, Benrahma scored twice and tormented the Cottagers all evening.

Benrahma has proved he can do it against Premier League opposition, and what better way than to do it against Manchester City this weekend?
