David Moyes sack update shared amid West Ham United development by ExWHUemployee
West Ham United have not yet made a decision on David Moyes after fresh uncertainty emerged over the Scot’s future, according to ExWHUemployee.
The Daily Mail reported (18 April) that Moyes is “increasingly likely” to depart the London Stadium regardless of the Hammers’ league status.
However, Ex has since revealed (West Ham Way, 19 April) that no decision is yet to be made on the 59-year-old’s position at the London Stadium.

“We believe that no decision has been made on Moyes’s future at this stage,” said the reliable Hammers’ source.
“The ideal situation as far as the club is concerned is for Moyes to finish the season strong and be in a position to discuss his future in the summer.”
Makes sense
It would be logical for Moyes to depart the club when the season comes to a close. It’s become abundantly clear that this group of players need fresh ideas. The spending in the summer of 2022 displayed the board’s ambitions, it’s now time they appointed a manager who is capable of bringing a new style and ethos to the London Stadium.
West Ham fans won’t forget what Moyes has done for the club. The Europa League run was a memorable part of the club’s history and there have been some good performances during the 2022/23 season.
However, inconsistency has plagued the Hammers and it feels as if the time is right for the former Everton boss to leave with his head held high.

There are plenty of managers now available, with Graham Potter the latest name to be talked about. The former Chelsea boss could well be eager to return to management in the summer with a full pre-season ahead of him. Considering the work he undertook at Brighton, it would certainly be an exciting appointment.
Whether it’s realistic is another matter.
