David Moyes sack at West Ham now inevitable with Steve Cooper potential replacement

David Moyes’ time at West Ham now seems to be done after another horrible performance against Brighton in the Premier League.

The Hammers suffered a defeat to the Seagulls by a 4-0 scoreline on 4 March and Moyes, whose job is already on the line, did not seem to have the answers.

Despite having a number of quality players and being backed tremendously by the board in the summer, he’s seen his side get into a relegation battle.

They may have beaten Nottingham Forest 4-0, but that was not a turning point for them as they performed awfully against Roberto de Zerbi’s men.

They’re currently in 17th place and if Leeds manage to get something from Chelsea when that game ends, they’re going to be level on points with the side in the drop zone.

This may be the ideal time to sack Moyes and bring in someone like Steve Cooper as his replacement who’s done well with Forest.

It’s understood that the Hammers hierarchy are considering their options to sack Moyes and have identified the Forest manager as one of them (Daily Mail, 3 March).

Given how Forest are perennially going to be fighting relegation, he would rather move to a side that can offer him European football and the chance of taking them to the next level and making them a top-flight club.

London is also the best city to be in and it’s going to be a major step up for him and he surely will be relishing the prospect if an approach is made.

Hopefully, the West Ham board wakes up soon.
