Moyes said, as quoted by Football London: “He has stepped up when we needed him, his goals and assists have been great.

“So now what we want from Jarrod is consistency but he has become a little bit more in control of himself and an understanding of the all-round situation, his finishing has become very good recently and he is in good form, we talk about confidence and Jarrod is in a really good being of confidence which is important for the forward players.”

Spot on

West Ham are reportedly looking to tie him up on a new deal [Evening Standard] this summer, and it should be a top priority for them.

Although he still has more than three years left on his deal, the Hammers can’t take the risk, especially with Liverpool lurking [Liverpool Echo].

The winger has been enjoying a rich vein of form, and he has been hailed as “impeccable” by Micah Richards (13 February).

Only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has scored more goals and assists than him in the Premier League. He has scored eight goals and eight assists in the league and has reached a new level this season.

West Ham United

Blessed with fantastic technical abilities, Bowen’s gradual rise is an inspiration. He was superb in the Championship and has proved now that he can the potential to be a top-quality Premier League player.

However, many a time we have seen players losing their track after a brilliant season. Bowen needs to produce consistently to reach the levels of say Sadio Mane or Salah himself.

He is a confident player and understands that game very well. It will be a big blow for the Hammers if he doesn’t play tomorrow.
