David Moyes new job prediction emerges as West Ham United exit nears
West Ham manager David Moyes looks set to depart the club this summer but will not be short of new opportunities, according to Neil Moxley.
Writing in the Sunday Mirror (5 May, pages 56 & 57), Moxley believes that as a parting of the ways looks likely between West Ham and Moyes, the Scot will be in demand for new managerial roles in the coming months.
Moyes has taken West Ham from perennial relegation battlers to European regulars during his second spell in charge at the London Stadium, and won the UEFA Conference League Final last season.
Moxley said that if and when Moyes does leave the Hammers; “it’s not unreasonable to suggest that the Scot won’t be on the job market for very long at all.”
Moyes to leave West Ham after transformative era in charge
West Ham are yet to confirm if Moyes will leave the club this summer, but given the club’s hierarchy have been sounding out several big names from across Europe, they appear to be set on finding a replacement for the Scot.
Moyes’ time in charge has seen a sea-change in the Hammers’ fortunes, playing three consecutive seasons on the continent and winning their first silverware since the 2012 Championship play-off Final, and first in Europe since the 1999 Intertoto Cup.

The Scot’s reputation was somewhat damaged by his short spells at Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland, but since keeping the Irons in the Premier League in 2018 and returning to begin his current tenure 18 months later, Moyes has been a constant in the Irons’ rise to European prominence.
The Hammers are still in contention to finish within the European places this season with just a few games left to go in the Premier League, but regardless of how the campaign finishes, Moyes can depart the London Stadium with his head held high, after almost five years of a job well done.
In other West Ham news, a switch to the London Stadium could interest Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna this summer.
