David Moyes makes scouting trip amid West Ham interest in Di’Shon Bernard
David Moyes was in the stands at The Den on Monday to watch Millwall versus Hull City amid reports that West Ham are keen on Di’Shon Bernard.
According to The Mirror (17 April, page 71), the Hammers are heavily interested in signing the 21-year-old who is currently impressing on loan at Hull City.
Moyes is a “keen admirer” of the youngster who is way down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

According to Hull Live, Moyes was on a scouting mission, along with Brentford boss Thomas Frank and David Pleat, advisor at Tottenham.
However, the trip didn’t prove to be fruitful as Bernard wasn’t involved against Millwall. It was on the bench and didn’t feature.
Top talent
The youngster was regular under former Tigers boss Grant McCann, but he has since lost his place following the appointment of Shota Arveladze.
The United youngster penned a new contract last summer before joining Hull City on loan. He is not expected to make the senior grade at Old Trafford and the kid is likely to ply else elsewhere.
Moyes has good contacts at United and he should look to bring him to Old Trafford if he thinks he is really good enough. The Scouts have given him rave reviews already, and it would have been nice if he had got some minutes on Monday.

Signing a defender is a top priority for the club next summer.
At the moment, three of West Ham’s senior players are injured and it leaves the Hammers short of options at the back.
Issa Diop is facing an uncertain future, while the club need a long-term replacement for Angelo Ogbonna.
Bernard could be seen as a player for the future, given his talent. The Hammers, ideally, should look for someone who can make an instant impact and improve the quality of the first team.
