David Moyes makes Jarrod Bowen decision made in three changes – West Ham United confirmed XI v Sheffield United
David Moyes has made three changes to his starting lineup as West Ham United travel to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday (21 January).
Ahead of kick-off, the Hammers confirmed via their official Twitter account (21 January) with Moyes making the decision to start Jarrod Bowen after initial fears he could miss the game.
Moyes has also made the decision to replace Lukasz Fabianski for Alphonse Areola while Aaron Cresswell is axed for Bowen.
The West Ham boss is forced into another change which sees Pablo Fornals replacing the suspended Said Benrahma after his red card against Bristol City.
Edson Alvarez is still out with a calf injury so James Ward-Prowse and Tomas Soucek will continue at the heart of the West Ham midfield while Maxwel Cornet, Kurt Zouma, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Danny Ings, Vladimir Coufal and Emerson keep their place in the team at Bramall Lane.
Must win
The Hammers were incredibly disappointing against Bristol City last week as they deservedly saw their FA Cup dreams dashed with a dreadful display at Ashton Gate, filled with a team full of internationals.
After that result, fans will have expected Moyes to make several changes to the team and he has done just that.
With Lucas Paqueta ruled out for up to two months, Michail Antonio facing yet another injury setback, and Mohammed Kudus taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations, West Ham are in desperate need of attacking quality right now.

Fears over the potential severity of Bowen’s blow were high given the swelling around his ankle as he limped off in the 1-1 draw with Bristol City at the London Stadium, but news that he could now return as soon as 21 January (The Evening Standard, 16 January) will have been a huge boost to the Hammers.
And it seems as if Bowen is indeed fit for the game which is a massive boost for the club and for Moyes in a must-win game for the Hammers.
