David Moyes ‘increasingly likely’ to complete West Ham United exit as new sack update emerges
West Ham United manager David Moyes is “increasingly likely” to leave the London Stadium this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The outlet reported on its website on Thursday (18 April) that although the Scotsman has suggested that he has been offered a new deal in East London beyond the end of the season, that contract is set to remain unsigned.
Both the Irons board and Moyes are aware of the Scotsman’s fractured relationship with some sections of the West Ham fanbase, and sporting director Tim Steidten is already working on a list of potential successors.
Steidten does have a close relationship with Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel, but it remains to be seen if he is one of the targets on the Hammers’ list.

Pressure has been growing on Moyes at the London Stadium in the last few months as fans begin to grow frustrated with the West Ham manager’s defensive first style of play, particularly against the biggest sides.
With the likes of Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta now thriving in claret and blue, there is a general feeling around supporters that a younger, more-minded manager may be able to get more out of the Irons’ talent.

Whether or not Moyes will decide to extend his stay beyond the end of the season remains to be seen, but at this moment in time, it appears as though there will be a new face in the Hammers’ dugout at the start of next season.
Hopefully, some clarity emerges from the Irons’ hierarchy sooner rather than later as it cannot be good for anybody involved at the London Stadium to not have a manager in place so late in the season and so close to the transfer window.
