David Moyes exit mooted at West Ham United, ‘marquee’ club appointment on the cards
David Moyes’ success at West Ham means he deserves the chance to manage a top club again, according to Simon Jordan.
Moyes has achieved success in each season in charge of the Irons since replacing Manuel Pellegrini and returning to the London Stadium for a second spell in 2019.
He won Premier League survival, led the Hammers to sixth and seventh-place finishes and then won the UEFA Europa Conference League last term.

TalkSPORT host Jordan believes ex-Manchester United boss Moyes has earned a crack at managing an elite club once more after struggling at Old Trafford a decade ago.
“Moyes, a fundamentally decent man, is beginning to earn the right to be in the conversation for one of the marquee sides again,” Jordan said on the Daily Mail website (11 October). “I’m not suggesting he could get those jobs but if he was linked with a bigger club, there wouldn’t be a sharp intake of breath anymore. He could excel pretty much anywhere but if he’s given the right support, he should want to continue at West Ham because it’s a great job.
“It’s up to the club to continue this progress and put Moyes in a position where he doesn’t need to look beyond east London – because where would be a step up from West Ham these days?”

Not yet
Moyes isn’t finished at West Ham.
The 60-year-old has already written himself into West Ham’s history with that Conference League win last season while the Scot has also achieved a record Premier League points tally with the Hammers.
The former Everton boss has worked wonders in East London and has been the best manager the club has had in a generation so to see fans talking about wanting him sacked last season seems laughable now.
Sure, we were in a relegation battle. But how could you not back the Moyesiah?
There’s little to suggest that Moyes will be leaving the London Stadium any time soon.
As Jordan says – what’s a step up from West Ham now if he was to stay in England? It would surely have to be one of the big six clubs but we doubt that any of them will be willing to take him on.
He has definitely earned the right to manage an elite team but he’s made West Ham an elite team now, hasn’t he?
We’re the champions of Europe and we’re massive too.
