David Moyes determined to make Champions League goalscorer Darwin Nunez a West Ham player
David Moyes is “determined” to make Darwin Nunez a West Ham player in the summer transfer window according to reports by Claret & Hugh.
The Hammers did reportedly conjure a £37million bid for the Uruguayan in January but the forwards stock has now almost doubled with a fee of around £60million now needed to prize him away from Benfica.
A host of Premier League teams joined the Irons in attendance in Lisbon last night [April 5] as he scored in a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, all eyeing the 22-year-old, as per Daily Express.

Some player
West Ham certainly missed a trick not signing the Benfica talisman for what is likely to be much, much cheaper in January.
As the Hammers know all too well, the lack of planning ahead of the window made what would be a difficult deal even harder and now there are teams queuing up for Nunez with his price tag skyrocketing.
The attention the goal machine is getting is completely justified too. He has by far been Benfica’s best player this season, having a hand in 26 goals in all competitions so far this season for the Portuguese outfit.

He made it a very difficult night for Virgil van Dijk and co last night, causing the Liverpool defence a catalogue of problems with his pace, skill and finishing.
Admittedly, he was a little bit theatrical which will have to stop if he joins the Hammers but he looks like a real future star and hopefully, Moyes’ determination can help pull off the unlikely goal of signing the striker in the summer.
