David Moyes backed to turn West Ham United around by BBC pundit
West Ham United are in a very perilous position in the Premier League but Paul Robinson believes David Moyes is the right man for the job.
The Scotsman seemed defeated after Brentford won 2-0 at the London Stadium which saw the Irons remain just above the drop zone.
Robinson admits that the boss is under severe pressure but maintains that he has all the expertise and character to overcome this slump in form.

“I think they’re in trouble,” Robinson said on the BBC Football Daily podcast. “Their performances in the Europa Conference League is not what we are seeing in the Premier League.
“David Moyes, for the first time, is under real pressure there. He’s done an excellent job with what he’s had there so far and the squad is stronger than it’s ever been but it is not getting results.
“The worrying thing for me is that they’ve lost 11 games. It’s the most in the whole Premier League. They’ve got a lot of quality to be where they are and I do think David Moyes will turn it around.
“David Moyes is the ideal type of person and character, I know he works extremely hard so I have full confidence he will turn it around.”
Too long
With the benefit of hindsight, you could say that Moyes has overstayed his welcome at the London Stadium but there were no signs of that last season with fatigue a suitable excuse for some poor results at the end of the campaign.
But it has carried on into the new season and with no tournament in the summer to blame, it has to fall on the manager who seems incompetent in getting a result out of this side.

Surely the time has to come fairly soon for a new man to take the reins and try to drag a squad far better than relegation towards the top half and maybe even further.
Six wins from six in Europe are totally irrelevant if the club go down to the Championship and have to suddenly justify £150million worth of signings.
It is a very dangerous place to be right now and West Ham cannot keep waiting for Moyes t make hay while they are in such strife.
