David Moyes appoints son to West Ham backroom staff, more incomings expected

David Moyes has appointed his own son to the backroom staff of West Ham United this week.

The Scotsman is looking to strengthen his team after signing a three-year deal at the London Stadium, and David Moyes Jr has joined the scouting team.

The Daily Mail shared the news late on Sunday night, with more appointments expected in the coming weeks.

It is another change that could be looked down on.

Moyes has got most things right yet again during his second spell in charge here, but could easily become a scapegoat if this goes wrong.

The Daily Mail suggested that Moyes believed his scouting team was light on options at the London Stadium and wanted that change immediately.

With more senior announcements expected, the Irons should have a full team looking for players over the summer.

Time to work.

With the window already being open for a few weeks now, we are expecting some signings to start rolling in.

There is no excuse now, Moyes has added to his team and wants more appointments, so he should have a packed list of players ready to target.

With Europa League football on top of our normal commitments next season, squad depth will be vital for Moyes.

There are two clear areas that need strengthening, and that is in the final third and in midfield, and that isn’t it.

Moyes is light on options all over the pitch, and if these appointments can help that, we are all on board.

Bring on the signings.
