David Moyes admits he was ‘bored’ in West Ham United win v Nottingham Forest
West Ham have been criticised at times for their style of football this season and boss David Moyes has admitted he himself was “bored” at one point during their most recent win.
The Irons got their first Premier League win since September as they came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 at the London Stadium on Sunday (12 November).
It has been a tough couple of months for the Hammers and despite picking up the three points against Forest, Moyes wasn’t entirely impressed by his team’s performance.

After the game, the Scot revealed (via WHUFC.COM, 12 November), “We hadn’t played well enough in the first half. We weren’t quick enough. Was it a bit to do with a little carryover from Thursday?
“It could be, but also it could be Nottingham Forest leaving us on the ball a bit. I thought we played okay but we were that slow in the first half that I was bored myself watching it at times.”
Liven up
While things got much more exciting for the hosts during the second half against Forest, supporters could be forgiven for switching off at half-time.
Moyes’ men offered very little in the way of threatening or direct play during the first 45 minutes and were met by a chorus of boos when the referee blew his whistle to signal the break.

It was a similar story during their last home league match when they were beaten 1-0 by Everton. With the attacking talent the club have at their disposal, including the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus and the in-form Jarrod Bowen, chances and more importantly goals should be flowing much more than they are.
Many will point the finger at Moyes, but his admission that he was bored insists that he agrees with fans and wants to see his side play more attacking football. This begs the question, who is to blame for the club’s lack of urgency in recent weeks?
In other West Ham news, Moyes has revealed another thing which left him “disappointed” after the win against Forest.
