Darragh MacAnthony weighs in on David Moyes/Tim Steidten clash as West Ham United verdict shared
West Ham United are going to have a good season in 2023/24, EFL chief Darragh MacAnthony said live on talkSPORT.
The belief comes despite manager David Moyes and new technical director Tim Steidten not being aligned on new transfers, as per GIVEMESPORT (23 July).
But MacAnthony believes the relationship needs time to grow, noting that the Hammers are in for a successful season.

“Relationships take time to harness, so I think it’s unfair to say that the relationship maybe won’t work,” MacAnthony said live on talkSPORT. “I think it’s been intimated that there could be a rocky road ahead. Common sense will prevail.
“David Sullivan and Karren Brady run a good ship there, and I think everything will be fine. I think West Ham are actually going to have a good season.”

Time needed
Of course time will be needed for Moyes and Steidten to form a strong relationship, with the latter only arriving at the London Stadium at the beginning of July.
He has not even been in the role for a full month, and will, therefore, not have settled into life in England, never mind life at West Ham.
The issue, however, is that the Hammers are running out of time to bring in new players, with a Declan Rice replacement undoubtedly sitting top of the list.
That should be the priority for both Moyes and Steidten, so at least they should be in agreement in that regard.
The Hammers get their new Premier League campaign underway against Bournemouth on 12 August, with fans desperate for the gap left by Rice to be filled long before then.
The likes of Conor Gallagher, Scott McTominay and James Ward-Prowse have all been linked, but all three are seemingly still some way away from being named West Ham players.
In other West Ham news, one pundit has told the Hammers to wait until next summer to sign a wantaway Celtic star.
