Danny Ings ready to quit Aston Villa over West Ham United transfer development – Fabrizio Romano
West Ham have submitted a bid in the region of £12m to sign Danny Ings from Aston Villa in the January transfer window, as reported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
The Guardian journalist has reported on Twitter (19 January) that the Hammers are in talks to sign the former Southampton striker who is open to moving to the London club.
Romano further adds that both clubs will continue negotiations on Thursday (19 January), as West Ham are keen to get the deal done.
“West Ham have offered £12m to sign Danny Ings from Aston Villa. Talks are ongoing as Ings would now be open to joining West Ham,” wrote Romano.
“Negotiations will continue today to get the deal done.”
Get it done
It doesn’t come as a surprise that David Moyes is looking to add a new striker to his side.
The Hammers spent big in the summer to sign Gianluca Scamacca but he has struggled to settle down properly.
Michail Antonio hasn’t been at his best this season as well. With the club languishing in the relegation zone, Moyes is left with no other option but to delve into the market and solve the crisis.
The Hammers have been very poor in recent months, and their major problem has been the lack of creativity and goals upfront.

Jarrod Bowen has also cut a frustrating figure this term.
Ings has got loads of Premier League experience. He is a natural finisher and would be a terrific addition to the club.
The 30-year-old has managed six goals in eight starts in the Premier League this season, but he has dropped down the pecking order under Unai Emery.
Ings is willing to leave, and it appears that the Hammers can reach an agreement here.
