Danny Dyer drops ‘Disgrace’ verdict after West Ham win v Leicester
West Ham fan Danny Dyer has called out Leicester City after their defeat against West Ham.
The Foxes travelled to the London Stadium on 27 February but came away empty handed after another disappointing performance.
A Jannik Verstergaard own goal and an opportunistic Tomas Soucek strike proved to be the difference to secure three points for Graham Potter.
It wasn’t the same story in the opposite dugout as Ruud van Nistelrooy was subjected to his fifth defeat on the bounce which has sparked a comment from Hammers supporter Dyer.

Dyer calls out disgraceful Leicester City v West Ham
It is pretty safe to assume that the former Premier League champions will be once again playing Championship football again next season.
This comes after what has been a largely uninspiring campaign, which has had very few positives to speak of at the King Power.
As a result, it was little surprise to the East London faithful that they secured the victory against the Foxes, but their lack of fight did catch some fans off guard.
Dyer felt that their level of performance was deserving of being relegated in its own right in the defeat against West Ham.
Speaking on the Off The Ball podcast (2 March), he said: “We beat Leicester. Get them down, Leicester. Get them down, they’re a disgrace. I mean for us, they were just walking pace and we’ve not been good this year.”
Leicester City destined for relegation after West Ham showing
There is plenty wrong with the Foxes at the moment and the majority of those issues were on show at the London Stadium last time out.
Joe Cole referred to Leicester’s defending as “abysmal” and that is truly the only way to describe their performance in E20.
This ultimately made it easy for an Irons side who were eager to secure three points for the second time in as many games after beating Arsenal.
Stat | West Ham | Leicester City |
Possession (%) | 58 | 42 |
Expected goals | 1.33 | 0.37 |
Big chances created | 4 | 0 |
Accurate passes | 580 | 391 |
It will certainly be interesting to see how van Nistelrooy and his side get on for the rest of the season and how close to survival they can get.
If they perform as they did against the Hammers in their remaining fixtures, there is very little chance that survival will even be a hope.
