Curtis Woodhouse shares horribly wrong view on one West Ham maestro
Former Premier League player Curtis Woodhouse has admitted he was so wrong in his assessment of West Ham dynamo Declan Rice when he burst on the scene.
The England international burst onto the scene making his full Hammers debut in the August of 2017 against Southampton.
It took the 23-year-old some time to adjust into the impressive player he is today and Woodhouse has now claimed the midfielder can do it all after having heavily scrutinised the youngster.
He shared on Twitter: “Not sure I’ve ever been as wrong about a player as I was Declan Rice. I think I said I’d rather have uncle Ben’s rice instead.
“He’s a proper player, right out of the old school. Can do it all, take his age into consideration he’s 150 million pound player. Yes, I said it.”
Gargantuan rise
Fair play to Woodhouse for admitting how wrong he was, not many would take to Twitter to share something like that.
People are way too quick to judge young players before they have even had a chance to show what they are capable of.

Especially in England, the media can often build young players up to be the next best thing and as soon as their form starts to drop, they are dubbed a massive flop – it is so unfair.
Nobody would have envisaged Rice to be the world-beater he is now when he made his debut as just a boy all those years ago but here, he stands as potentially the best ever West Ham player.
Of course, that largely depends on how long he stays at the club amid reports linking him to a move away from east London as well as what he does whilst he is there but at the moment he is on the right path.
