Conference call update drops as West Ham United want to sign ex Chelsea loanee Denis Zakaria
West Ham are reportedly in hot pursuit of Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria who spent the second half of last season on loan at Chelsea.
According to Tutto Juve [6 July], a conference call has been scheduled between the Hammers and the Serie A giants to discuss the terms of the transfer.
It’s understood that the Hammers will make a bid for a season-long loan with the option to buy him at £15.3million.

Loan makes sense
A loan without the obligation to buy makes perfect sense as it gives the Hammers a chance to gauge how he fares for one whole season.
Based on his Chelsea endeavour, he did not have the best of times in the Premier League so it may not be suited for his skillset.
Alternatively, he was at a dysfunctional side that was stacked with too many players and maybe a move to West Ham would do him good.

It remains to be seen if David Moyes views him as his first option or if he wants someone like Joao Palhinha coming in.
Replacing Declan Rice is going to be a task and the Hammers are going to need to shell out a good amount of money.
However, if they’re getting someone like Zakaria without really paying anything then it makes sense to go down that route.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
