Club insider: West Ham would accept £45m offer for player given chance by Moyes
West Ham United are still yet to add any fresh faces to their squad this summer.
Tomas Soucek has made his move to London Stadium permanent, but Irons fans will have been wanting some new additions by now.
David Moyes is dealing with the reality that he will need to sell players before bringing any in, with Albian Ajeti already leaving.
Could another striker replace him then?
We hope so, but the latest reports suggest that club-record signing Sebastien Haller could be made available to leave east London.
ExWHUemployee has claimed that Moyes is ready to give the Frenchman a chance to prove himself next season, and only one thing could see him leave.
“Moyes wants to give him another year to prove himself but if a £45million came in he would accept but I don’t think they would come in for him,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.
Haller certainly didn’t enjoy the best of seasons in his first year in the Premier League, and it was filled with problems and injuries.
The 26-year-old made 32 appearances and only managed to find the back of the net seven times, adding one assist as well.
Moyes will be wanting to take advantage of the target man next season though, especially with him winning 6.8 aerial battles per game according to WhoScored.
We expect to see Haller against Newcastle in less than two weeks, and he must hit double figures next season to prove himself.
