Chris Sutton predicts ‘magnificent seven’ result between West Ham United and Crystal Palace
Chris Sutton has predicted that West Ham will continue their winning run at the London Stadium against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Hammers’ league form has been up and down of late, following their unfortunate 1-0 defeat at Manchester United on 30 October, but at home they have been very strong, winning all of their last six in the league and Europa Conference League, which Sutton believes will be the key.
Palace currently sit three places above the Irons in 10th, having played a game fewer, but they are also much better at home this year, with their only away win coming against Oxford United in the Carabao Cup, so Sutton has gone for a 2-1 West Ham victory.

In his BBC Sport predictions he said: “Crystal Palace are another team who haven’t won away in the league this season, and it’s hard to see that changing here.
“West Ham were unlucky against Manchester United and they have won six in a row at London Stadium in all competitions.
“I am going with the Hammers to win again and make that run a magnificent seven on the trot.”
Tight
Palace are a tricky side under Patrick Vieira but at long last the London Stadium has become somewhat of a Hammers fortress.
With the Eagles possessing a pretty terrible record this campaign on the road there is no reason for that to end, even if they aren’t having to travel far across the capital.
The belated improvement for David Moyes’ side has them slowly climbing the table, and while still only 13th at the moment, the league is so congested it only takes a couple of good results to make a big difference.

There is currently only a five-point gap to Fulham in the first of the European places, and a 10-point gap to the top four, so if Moyes can lead his side to two wins in the remaining league fixtures before the World Cup the situation could be looking far better when they return to action.
The tournament is kicking off in a little over two weeks so players are particularly hoping to avoid injuries that will rule them out of contention, with big names going down by the day.
But the Palace and Leicester fixtures offer a great opportunity to pick up much-needed points before the winter break for Qatar, so the primary focus will remain on that.
The last win over Bournemouth, with all of it’s VAR-related controversy, suddenly feels a while ago, so West Ham need to get back on track on Sunday (6 November).
