Chris Sutton calls out West Ham United striker Michail Antonio for dive v Brentford

Chris Sutton has called out West Ham United talisman Michail Antonio for his dive in the 2-0 defeat against Brentford.

The BBC pundit insisted it was a “no-no” as his struggles continued in the final third in all competitions this season.

Robbie Savage was listening along with a chuckle, but it was Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka who won the award that no one wants.

Speaking live on BBC Radio 5 Live last night via Twitter [10 April], Sutton called out Antonio for what he saw.

“I think that’s a contender for the simulation game,” he said.

“Antonio a no-no, but the winner of the simulation game this week, Arsenal have won something, they haven’t won any football matches – Bukayo Saka.”

No no.

Forgetting about the so-called dive, nothing is going right for Antonio right now in the final third.

The striker can’t seem to catch a break, with goals drying up incredibly after his amazing start to this Premier League season.

David Moyes is backing his main man, but he simply has to given our huge failure to bring in competition in three windows now.

With a huge trip to Lyon on Thursday with a semi-final spot in the Europa League up for grabs, something has to give sooner rather than later.

Forget about everything else, Antonio simply has to go back to basics and cut out all of these little mistakes in possession.

All that matters is now, and the Jamaican international has to bully defenders and get himself in dangerous pockets.

The rest should hopefully come.
